Youth Lyrical/Contemporary Dance

Thursdays at 4pm - Starting from Thur, April 3rd, 2025 Discover the magical blend of ballet technique and creative expression in our youth lyrical/contemporary class! This class is designed for dancers ages 10-13 who are curious about exploring lyrical and contemporary dance styles. No previous dance experience required - just bring your enthusiasm and creativity! Each 45-minute class includes: Fun warm-up activities blending dance and yoga Basic ballet-inspired technique to build strong foundations Expressive across the floor movements in small groups Dance combinations in center. Creative prompts where dancers can develop their unique style and learn about composing movement Cool-down sequence Dancers will learn to move with fluidity and expression while developing important skills like coordination, musicality, and self-confidence. Each week builds on previous lessons, helping young dancers grow at their own pace in a supportive, non-competitive atmosphere. Wear comfortable clothes to move in – leggings/dance pants and a t-shirt work great! Bare feet or dance socks recommended.
