Friday "Mic Mania” Week for Current/Past Highest Speak Students! - Halloween Themed Rehearsal and Friday Open Mic Night! (Grades 5-8)

🗣️ Friday Mic Mania Night Presents: "Highest Scream...A Spooktacular Student Showcase and Halloween Fun!" Friday, October 24 | 7:30-9PM (Mandatory Rehearsal: Sunday, Oct. 19 from 3-5pm) (** Can reschedule if essential.) Ready to celebrate Halloween Highest Speak style? Calling all Highest Speak Students! Our Fall Students are already participating, and we are opening 5 extra spaces for additional Highest Speak students who have been with us during the past year to also participate! It’s your time to shine (and spook)! Join us for our first-ever Friday Mic Mania Night, a fun and informal evening where students can perform: ✨ A favorite piece from one of their past public speaking classes 📝 An original piece they’ve written — Halloween-themed or not! 📖 A reading they want to do with lots of expression (a monologue, short story, or poem). They can even do a few Halloween or Fall themed jokes! ⏰ If they do NOT have a piece they like, we will help them choose one when they register. Students must attend the mandatory rehearsal on Sunday, October 19 from 3pm-5pm. If they cannot, we can find a brief alternative time virtually or in-person where they’ll be coached and prepped for performance. All pieces must be 2 minutes or less; longer pieces will be trimmed during rehearsal. 🎤 On Friday, October 24, from 7:30-9PM, students will perform for a small audience — each performer may ideally bring up to 2 guests. 👻 Expect some surprise fun! Instructors may perform a spooky piece or lead Halloween-themed games for students and families. 🪑 We’ll provide a mix of chairs and cozy floor pillows ⚠️ Limited performance spots available! 📌 This event is only open to Highest Speak students in our current classes and only 5 spots for those who have been with us the past year — sign up ASAP to reserve your spot!
