Welcome to the jungle! Explore the world of jungle habitats in this engaging 3-day art workshop inspired by tropical environments and the animals that live within them. Students will study a variety of jungle creatures and landscapes, using observation and imagination to inform their artwork. This workshop is designed for children and teens, and groups students by age to support appropriate pacing, skill development, and positive peer connection. Over the course of three projects, young artists will strengthen their drawing and painting skills while working with color, texture, pattern, and layering. Instruction is guided by the Elements of Art and Principles of Design, helping students create artwork that feels both expressive and intentional. This workshop is ideal for students who enjoy animals, nature, and creative exploration, and who are excited to build strong visual skills while working through a fun, theme-based approach. Artists must be enrolled in First Grade, Fall 2026 and have graduated Kindergarten to attend.

What to expect in class: Sculpt with a giant block of clay, design a family tree, paint a mural or make a creation of your very own. Benefits: Physical: Working with different textures supports sensory input, fine motor, and gross motor skills. Cognitive: Creating your own work supports confidence and problem-solving skills. Social: Not only are children learning social skills by sharing a work space and creating with others, they are also able to express themselves through another outlet before they have the verbal capacity to do so. Adults: Get uninterrupted time with your little one; watch them create and play!

ABOUT Focusing on composition, color theory, and values, this class allows students to experiment with various medium techniques, including clay, watercolor, mixed media, acrylic, and tempera. 60 minutes. Ages 4-6. THIS WEEK: Spring is finally here and Easter is right around the corner, so let's celebrate these new beginnings with the perfect symbol of life and hope, an egg! This week students will use their creative skills to have some festive fun as they create and decorate their very own (Ceramic egg plate) (sculpted birds nest). Dress for a mess!
