Program Highlights: We utilize the Operation 36 framework directly on our simulators. This gamified, highly engaging program provides a clear, structured pathway for students to track their progress, hit specific targets, and stay highly motivated as they learn. Comprehensive Curriculum: Golf Class covers every crucial aspect of the game. Students will receive hands-on guidance in basic swing mechanics, short-game strategies (chipping and pitching), and precise putting techniques. CITs are technically campers, actively participating in all camp activities while building valuable leadership experience. This 6 class session will begin with hand-building techniques to provide a better understanding of the ceramic medium before working on the pottery wheel. Artists will learn about the full ceramic process from creating their own ceramic pieces, the firing process, as well as glazing. Students will learn how to use ceramic tools and equipment from needle tools and ribs to slab rollers, extruders and electric wheels. Artists who have taken this course with us will be able to continue building on their skills and knowledge with different projects that we demonstrate, as well as learning how to develop their own ideas and projects with the teacher's guidance. The class is 2 hours once per week for 6 weeks. The registration fee includes clay, use of tools and supplies. Please note that we are unable to offer make-up classes, nor a pro-rate for future missed classes. Once the session is over you will receive an email notice that the ceramic pieces have completed their glaze firing and are ready for pick up. This typically takes a week or two after the session wraps up.

Individual goals are established and records of progress kept. A sketchbook is required for this class. This program does not require students to have prior art-making experience. Students new to ADEX are required to complete 3-4 prerequisite projects that introduce new mediums and the fundamentals of composition, color, and form. These projects also serve to familiarize students with the studio’s layout, proper setup and cleanup procedures, as well as essential steps in project planning. These prerequisites are completed at the students’ pace and typically take at least one session to complete.

This teen art class is designed for teens who are ready to begin exploring their creative potential and how to start developing their own artistic voice. Students will be introduced to, and encouraged to explore, a variety of mediums—including drawing, painting, ceramics, printmaking, mixed media, and collage—while receiving personalized guidance from an experienced instructor. Whether they're interested in building their technical skills or discovering thier own unique style, this class offers the freedom to experiment and create at your own pace. New teen students will complete three pre-designed projects with their teacher's guidance to help aid them in learning how to set-up/clean-up supplies and materials, get a feel for what mediums are available, and allow teachers to get a feel for the student's level of skill and art knowledge. What They’ll Learn: Medium Exploration: Gain hands-on experience with a wide range of art forms, including pencil and charcoal drawing, acrylic and watercolor painting, clay sculpture, printmaking, and collage techniques. Project Development: Learn how to conceptualize, plan, and execute your own independent projects. With teacher support, they’ll refine your ideas and bring them to life. Creative Techniques: Develop new skills in various artistic techniques, from layering and texture in mixed media to the technical aspects of ceramics and printmaking. Self-Expression: Find their own voice and style as they experiment with different materials and approaches to art-making. Critique & Feedback: Receive constructive feedback from the instructor and peers in a supportive and open environment to enhance their artistic process and growth.
