At Camp Footsteps Explorers 2026, children entering TK through third grade will embark on a summer filled with imagination, friendship, and adventure. Week 3 – Hooray for Hollywood Field Trip: Mugglebee’s Play Performance Lights, camera, action! This exciting week invites campers to step into the spotlight and explore the magic of movies and theater. Children will design costumes, create props, learn simple stage skills, and even try out being directors and actors in short skits. From making star-worthy crafts to walking the “red carpet,” campers will discover how imagination and teamwork bring stories to life. The week will end with a mini showcase where our Hollywood stars can shine for friends and family. Special Event: Red Carpet Premiere Day Campers perform skits or share short videos they’ve made during the week. There will be a photo wall and fun award certificates such as Best Director, Most Creative, and Best Teamwork.

Investigate, Analyze & Solve Mysteries Like a Real Scientist Step into the world of forensic science! Junior Detectives gives young investigators hands-on experience with DNA, fingerprints, microbiology, and crime scene analysis. Campers explore how scientists uncover clues, examine evidence, and piece together the story behind a case through fun and engaging experiments. Sign up for each week- we have a new curriculum each week! Kids will enjoy 4 hours of Art and Art related Activities! Day Camp is a drop off program & for ages 4 and older. Each day includes a variety of Cookies & Canvas event, One Day Workshop, OR Pottery Painting & Open Studio time. Most projects will go home same day. (If they have pottery painting that day, they will need to be picked up following week) Kids enjoy stations as well as several art projects during their 4 hours of fun at the Art Studio! Groups separated by age under K-4 grades, 5-8 grades. Bring peanut free sack lunch, snack & water bottle. Please dress for the weather- as we do take a walk in the neighborhood and eat in the garden on days when we can.

Through fun, purposeful activities, children work on expanding vocabulary, forming longer sentences, retelling stories, sequencing events, following multi-step directions, and engaging in meaningful conversations. Each session is tailored to your child’s individual language goals and includes: - Play-based activities that make learning language fun - Evidence-based strategies to improve comprehension and expression - Support for social interaction, turn-taking, and functional communication This group builds foundational skills that support success at school, at home, and in everyday life. In Robotics with Sphero BOLT, campers dive into the world of robotics using one of the most engaging robots around - a programmable, sensor-packed robotic ball that responds to code, creativity, and experimentation. Students learn how to code and control their Sphero BOLT as they tackle hands-on challenges that involve driving, navigating obstacles, displaying designs on the built-in LED matrix, and even communicating with other robots using infrared signals. Each activity introduces core STEM concepts in a way that feels more like play than work. This camp is designed to spark curiosity and build confidence. Campers experiment, test ideas, and immediately see the results of their code in action—helping them understand how programming controls real-world devices. We are offering 11 different art camps/ new curriculum for Art Camps this summer. Art Camp at All Things Art Studio is the best way to experience total immersion in a summer art program! It's fun & and students get a chance to delve into their creative selves without crazy time restraints. Students will also get to Tie Dye an All Things Art Studio Camp Shirt (or other item for repeat campers) on Day 1! (included in the fee of camp). In the mornings, they will be working on individual projects, and the afternoon art academy will give them a relaxed but focused exercise in fine arts. There will be landscape drawing and painting, and still life exploration. We explore drawing, clay, printmaking, textiles, weaving, watercolor, acrylics, tempera paint, glazing & more! We will work with canvas, clay, watercolor, tissue paper and many other types of medium as well. Every camp is a different curriculum, so please register for as many as you can :) It's an amazing week for students, they meet and make new art friends and enjoy the warm summer weather. Bring a sack lunch each day and a water bottle, We will have outdoor lunch & walk in the neighborhood- plus outdoor "en plain air" instruction in their daily journal/ sketchbook. Bring it on! Some of our Elementary, Middle School and High School groups will be offered at the same times & days (convenient for families with older & younger children). In this camp, students will explore the fundamentals of Python, including variables, user input, operators, and control structures. They’ll gain hands-on experience with common programming applications and develop a solid understanding of Python’s versatility. Prerequisite: Coding 101 or prior command-line coding experience (block coding not applicable). Ages: 11+ Students who enjoy learning Python may like to consider a Game Design camp or a more hands-on engineering-oriented camp.

Nature is a huge focus of Hilltop Creative. We will have outdoor time on neighborhood hikes and also will visit our local playgrounds and recreational areas Bernal Heights, Holly Park and St Mary's. Towards the end of the day we will gather indoors and will have an afternoon snack provided by Hilltop Creative.
