Drone Explorers: STEM Missions is an exciting indoor program for students in grades 4–8. Kids will learn to fly and code real drones while solving hands-on, real-world challenges. Each session blends science, technology, and teamwork in a fun and engaging way. No prior experience is needed—just curiosity and creativity. All equipment is provided, and classes are held safely indoors.

The LEGO® Minecraft Class is an exciting and educational experience into the world of stop-motion animation production. Using LEGO® building sets based off of the Minecraft theme, students will stage their own scenes from a storyboard and take photos of the scene to tell a story. Then they will edit the images in the Frames 6 animation software where they will add effects, sound and more. Some of the features of the class include: Working in teams to collaborate and create animation projects for each day.A new and unique Minecraft theme for each day, including castle, cave and End worlds.Use of illustrated storyboards to plan out the narrative of the project Photography of the LEGO® sets in action to create slides for stop-motion animation Computer animation software to edit images using green screen, effects and sound Finished projects will be emailed to the parents end of the 6 weeks session. The theme for Thanksgiving Break is "Gardening, Gathering, and Gratitude." With the cold setting in, campers will harvest our final crops before we winterize the garden and cook with what we've collected. Campers can look forward to cutting kale, digging for potatoes, and Apple Tree Pinata. Any leftovers will go into mini-composting worm bins that campers will make and take home. We'll explore the Arboretum and Mud Park to see how animals are preparing for the winter, before we hunker down with what we've foraged to make centerpieces for the holiday. Time permitting, a nice Fall day wouldn't be complete without hot apple cider and s'mores around a campfire. Additionally with games like Peter Rabbit, Pig Pen, Turkey Hunt, and Fire in the Forest, campers will have a lot to be thankful for this season! Pinnacle's break camp offers a fun & educational outlet for your budding scientists/naturalists (Grades 1-6). Our camps allow kids to continue learning during the days off from school, while having fun, exploring, and designing projects with our dedicated teachers. With lots of time outdoors and hands-on experiments, your children will forget that they're learning.

Hilltop Creative is nestled in Bernal Heights. Our space is aesthetically beautiful and calming for our days together. We are excited to spend the week being creative, building community and long lasting friendships. We see better sleep, cognitive function and overall well being in ourselves. Here is a bit about our camp days: Drop Off is from 9am-9:30 and pick up is between 2:30-3 pm. During our days together at Hilltop Creative Summer Camp we will start our mornings off with free exploration, morning greetings, snack and an indoor creative activity. We will have outdoor time on neighborhood hikes and also will visit our local playgrounds and recreational areas Bernal Heights, Holly Park and St Mary's. Towards the end of the day we will gather indoors and will have an afternoon snack provided by Hilltop Creative. Our ration is 1:6and we do not go over 12 campers. This program is a deep dive into the life of vacant land in the Hill District of Pittsburgh: its past, present, and future. Using neighborhood observation, engagement, sampling, and lab science, participants will build an understanding of life present on vacant land – from microorganisms to environmental phenomena. Through research and interpretation, a more profound understanding of living urban land will emerge. As part of the program, participants will synthesize their learning into recommendations for vacant land use, becoming contributors to a long-term beautification process and receiving personalized mentorship along the way. Talk Trekkers” Intro to Public Speaking Series (NO Prerequisites) This fun, high-energy, and highly interactive public speaking series is perfect for young speakers of all experience levels! Whether your child is a beginner or already has some public speaking experience, this 5-session, 5-class-hour course provides individualized feedback and tailored challenges to help them grow while having a blast! Students will receive class materials, including a detailed class packet, to support their learning and practice. In each lively, engaging class, students will: LEARN - Learn and improve on the fundamentals of effective public speaking and explore different styles of speaking; - Learn to reduce and manage public speaking anxiety and nervousness; - Learn to implement DAILY positive public speaking and communication habits; - Learn to structure and improve their writing skills; - Understand the differences in various types of public speaking, such as persuasive, informative, storytelling, and conversational skills.
